Alma De Cuba
1623 Walnut St, Philadelphia, Oak Valley,
My husband took me here for my birthday this past Sunday and I must say this place is off the chain! The decor was very chic. The drinks were delicious, the food was outstanding and the service was impeccable. We started at the bar downstairs with a Mango Martini, my husband had a glass pinot noir. After we were seated at a nice intimate tabe by the window, we perused the menu which was quite extensive; there was little of everything for everyone's taste. I settled on the beef tenderloin with crabmeat as an entree and it was awesome. The meat melted in my mouth it was so tender. My husband had the 'fried cow' (can't think of the actual name on the menu), but it was delicious as well, and appetizers were the kobe meatballs. It is definitely worth the trip and the money.

Chart House Restaurant - Philadelph
555 S Columbus Blvd, Philadelphia, Oak Valley,
I was here recently for a family dinner for 24 people, and it was just so-so. We were so crammed together at the table we hardly had room to cut our food. The appetizers came out piecemeal so people were eating at different times, and even so some of them were lukewarm at best. The meals were good enough for the most part, though a couple of items were so salty as to be inedible. Drinks were mostly watered down. For the money, it was a disappointment.
